He was born on 1779 BS, Paush 27th at Gorkha of Nepal of the son of King Narabhupaal Shah (Father) & Queen Kaushlyaawati (Mother)। His first wedding on 1794 in Makwaanpur with King Hemkarn Sen's daughter Indra Kumai and second marriage with Narendra Lakshmi of Banaras District, the daughter of Abhimaan Singh.
